We are pleased to announce that from today Sankar Sasidharan, PhD, has joined Smoltek, thanks to a prestigious industrial postdoc grant from WISE - Wallenberg Initiative for Sustainable Material Science.
Sankar will be employed by Smoltek HydroÂgen and share his time between our efforts to develÂop our innoÂvÂaÂtive elecÂtrolyzÂer mateÂrÂiÂal (ECM) and postÂdocÂtorÂal research in PEM anode coatÂings togethÂer with Prof. Zhenyuan Xia from the InstiÂtute of MateÂrÂiÂal SciÂence at Chalmers UniÂverÂsiÂty of Technology.
Sankar has most recentÂly made a postÂdocÂtorÂal stay at IMS Chalmers and Tokyo InstiÂtute of TechÂnolÂoÂgy and he is bringÂing his comÂpeÂtence in mateÂrÂiÂal sciÂence and elecÂtroÂchemÂistry to improve the duraÂbilÂiÂty of our PEM cells and accelÂerÂatÂing our techÂnolÂoÂgy a few steps in techÂnolÂoÂgy readiÂness and marÂket success.

Smoltek has been awarded a new patent within the hydrogen business area. The patent discloses a method for depositing conformally coated catalyst support for the PTL (porous transport layer) that provides both high catalytic activity and additional corrosion protection.
